Soft launch · private workspace · honest evidence

Bring your chosen AI. Keep the research trail.

Assist With Family History keeps people, relationships, events, sources, questions, findings, and stories connected after the chat ends—so you can see where each detail came from, correct what changes, and tell source-aware stories with care.

You remain the authority. Your AI reasons and researches; Family History preserves the durable record. Sharing and publication stay separate, explicit human decisions.

Honest soft-launch status

Current, coming soon, and later—kept deliberately separate.

Active controls work today. Committed launch work is labeled Coming soon, while ideas that still need real use and product learning remain Later.

The operating thesis

A family tree shows connections. Family History preserves why they are believed.

Your AI can help gather and compare. The workspace keeps evidence, uncertainty, context, questions, and stories connected so a correction can travel through the trail without erasing how the earlier understanding was reached.

Questions before you begin

A careful workspace should be easy to understand.

Assist your AI, so it can assist you with family history—without confusing help with authority.

See how the AI connection works

Is this another family-tree site?

A tree can be one view, but the workspace is built for the trail behind it: sources, relationships, events, uncertainty, research questions, context, and stories.

Does Family History replace my AI?

No. You choose the AI environment where you reason and research. Family History gives that work durable, structured context and a place to inspect and correct the result.

Can my AI see another family’s records?

No. Sign-in selects one private vault on the server. The connection does not accept a user, workspace, or tenant ID from the AI.

Will a source automatically become a fact?

No. Evidence, candidate conclusions, conflicts, confidence, and accepted understanding remain distinct so you can review what the record really supports.

Can the AI publish or delete for me?

Not through the current connection. Story saves remain private drafts or review requests; publication and destructive work keep their human gates.

Does it import directly from every genealogy provider?

No. A user-mediated FamilySearch capture workflow is available. Universal provider access, unattended research, and automatic import are not current claims.

What can I use now?

The soft-launch workspace includes people and place records, source capture, research operations, a four-state Queue, story drafting and review, and a production-proven MCP foundation for compatible clients.

Where should I start?

Begin with one person and a known relationship, preserve the source or question that brought you there, or connect a compatible AI and ask it for your Family History brief.

Soft launch · useful now, still growing

Keep the useful result after the conversation ends.

Begin with a person, a relationship, a source, or a question. Work by hand or bring a compatible chosen AI; the workspace keeps the evidence, uncertainty, and next step.

Support for every Assist With site runs through Assist With Life Support. We don't offer direct email contact.
